What to Expect on Your First Visit

Your New Patient Experience!

Thank you for choosing Farhoumand Dentistry! We are so glad you are here! All of us, from the Doctors, Dental Assistants, and Admin Team are looking forward to meeting you in person and we are excited to start your journey of Comprehensive Dentistry with you! As a new patient at our office, we want to walk you through our New Patient Experience. On your first visit, we will exclusively reserve 90 minutes to gather information to perform a Comprehensive Dental Visit.

What is Comprehensive Dentistry?

At Farhoumand Dentistry we believe in providing Comprehensive Dentistry and looking at our patient’s dental health since it affects your whole body. We have invested in advanced technologies, like CT scans, intraoral cameras, iTero-3D scans to gain a deeper understanding of your dental needs and to help educate you as to what is happening in your mouth.

As dentists, we are trained to focus and evaluate your oral health in whole and how it affects other parts of your body and vice-versa. Our team gathers information in order to evaluate your state of your gums, teeth, bite , and your overall happiness with your smile!

Comprehensive Dentistry allows us to be proactive about your dental health. We look at the overall picture and make a treatment plan on how to have We can then discuss your needs and you can ask your questions. We are here to educate you and ask any questions you may have. Once you are ready to move forward and depending on your needs, we may be able to complete your dental in one or a few visits or in phases.

Before Your Appointment

We ask that you fill out your new patient forms through our designated portal so that we can process your information before your visit. If you cannot complete the paperwork online, don’t worry! Simply arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the necessary forms. If you have dental insurance, we will collect all necessary information ahead of time and ask that you bring your insurance card and ID to your appointment. If you are visiting for a second opinion or consultation, please share any recent X-rays with us so our doctor can evaluate them.

During Your Visit

Once you arrive, you will be shown to one of our dental examination rooms, where our hygienist will gather information about the health of your teeth and gums. This includes taking any necessary X-rays, intra-oral pictures, and an iTero 3-D scan. The results of these diagnostics are immediate, allowing you to be an active participant in your own oral healthcare.

After the diagnostics and teeth cleaning are complete, our dentist will perform a comprehensive dental exam. We will provide you with a full dental health report based on our findings, specific to your needs. Any treatment options or alternatives will be discussed at this time. Our entire team is here to answer any questions or concerns you may have before we move forward with your treatment.
