Foad Farhoumand, DDS

After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, Dr. Farhoumand went directly into dental school. He earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C.

To gain further expertise and experience, Dr. Farhoumand then trained at the Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry at New York University, focusing on advanced cosmetic dentistry procedures. He completed additional training in dental implant surgery, CEREC® one-day crowns, and the Invisalign® teeth straightening system.

Dr. Farhoumand, or Dr. Foad as his patients call him, is known for his passion for dentistry and commitment to care. He listens to each patient’s needs and evaluates their health to design a targeted, individualized treatment plan. Dr. Farhoumand strives to help each patient feel relaxed and comfortable during their visits, even while going through complex dental procedures.

Having spent much of his childhood growing up in Ethiopia, Dr. Farhoumand became fluent in multiple languages. He speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French, and Farsi. That allows him to communicate with patients of diverse backgrounds.

When Dr. Farhoumand isn’t busy in the office, he spends time with his wife and two children. They enjoy flying radio-controlled airplanes and helicopters as well as riding motorcycles.

Farah Farhoumand, DDS

With her expertise in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, in addition to complex dental surgeries, Farah Farhoumand, DDS helps countless patients achieve the smiles of their dreams. She welcomes new patients and their families to Farhoumand Dentistry in Vienna, Virginia.

After completing her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Farhoumand, or Dr. Farah as her patients call her, went on to dental school. She earned her doctor of dental surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Dr. Farhoumand also trained at the Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry at New York University to focus on innovative cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Farhoumand grew up with her brother, Dr. Foad Farhoumand, in Ethiopia. They both followed in their father’s footsteps and became dentists. Shortly after she completed dental school, she joined her brother in private practice.

By taking continuing education courses, Dr. Farhoumand ensures she always offers the most sophisticated and advanced treatments available. She is certified in laser dentistry, cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry, and CEREC® one-day crowns.

Throughout her career, Dr. Farhoumand has spent extensive time traveling overseas volunteering in third-world countries. She has worked alongside other dentists to provide free dental care with nonprofit organizations such as the Jamaica Project and Health for Humanity.

Because Dr. Farhoumand is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and Farsi, she can communicate with patients of diverse backgrounds. She believes that all patients should have access to dental care in a warm, compassionate environment.

Outside of the office, Dr. Farhoumand likes to spend time outdoors. She enjoys riding motorcycles, sailing, and water skiing.

Gaby Obregon, D.M.D., B.D.S.

General & Cosmetic Dentist

Dr. Gaby is a dedicated, warm and caring dentist who graduated from dental school in Managua-Nicaragua in 2005 and worked in private practice before immigrating to Virginia. While getting ready to go back to school, she worked as a full-time dental assistant with multiple specialists and general dentists. She also volunteered after hours at a dental community clinic in Fairfax, VA and attended continuing education courses around the United States and Canada.

Dr. Gaby Obregon then attended Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, getting her Doctor in Dental Medicine in 2019. While a student at Tufts, she was honored to have been selected to work as a teaching assistant in clinic, where she supervised other students in performing all types of dental procedures before faculty approval. This experience enhanced her knowledge and gave her the opportunity to share her past experiences with her peers. Dr. Obregon has also volunteered with Remote Area Medical (RAM), an outreach nonprofit program in Evensville, Tennessee, that provides free care in mobile medical clinics to the underserved community of rural Appalachia. She intends to continue to be involved in local, national and international missions.

Dr. Obregon is a member of the American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association. She believes in practicing preventive dentistry with the highest ethical standards and putting her patient’s needs first. She also believes that a warm caring environment is an essential component for a pleasant experience. Dr. Obregon is proud to join Farhoumand Dentistry because it’s a practice that abides to her high standards and delivers high quality dentistry with the use of the most advanced technology available.

Besides her passion for dentistry, she’s enthusiastic about outdoor activities, running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Eiman Khalili, DDS


Dr. Eiman Khalili is an Endodontist in the DC metropolitan area. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University in 2011, where he also completed the Advanced Education Program of Endodontics. Upon completion of his Endodontic residency at NYU, he relocated to the Midwest where he practiced full-time for about two year before moving back to the East Coast.

Dr. Khalili enjoys working with patients to help them feel relaxed and comfortable before, during, and after their dental procedure. Patients are often nervous before having root canals or other dental work done, but Dr. Khalili’s ability to help them relax ensures they have a much better overall experience. Nothing makes him happier than hearing patients tell him how pleased they are that their pain has been alleviated.

Sanaz Vahid, DDS

Periodontist & Implant Dentistry

Dr. Sanaz Vahid DDS is a compassionate and highly trained periodontist with an extensive background in Implant Dentistry. A second-generation dentist, she followed her father’s footsteps in the field of dentistry. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 2014. After dental school, Dr. Vahid acquired a degree in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. Her passion and dedication to higher learning made her pursue a degree in periodontics and implant surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2018.

Dr. Vahid is the founder and president of Women of the World of Dentistry. She is highly active in the Washington DC Dental Community. Dr. Vahid has authored and co-authored multiple publications including studies on the relationship of PCOS and periodontal disease and Sleep Apnea and periodontal disease. She is a member of the American Board of Periodontology since 2015.

Growing up in the Washington DC area, it humbles her to return to the area and give back to the community. During her free time, she loves to travel and spend time with her loved ones.
